On Thursday february 16th, John van de Water will give a lecture on his book "You Can not Change China, China Changes You." The book is Water's personal, endearing and sometimes hilarious account of his confronting quest for an authentic architecture. Lecture in English

2011.04.14 NEXT AT de brakke grond | Arcam lecture
For the series of architecture lectures 'ARCAM in de Brakke Grond', once a month a distinguished architect is invited to talk, in a theatrical ambience, about his or her work and about design philosophy and sources of inspiration.

2010.01.22 NEXT at the Academy of Architecture of Arnhem | ‘The Making of…’
Marijn Schenk participated in the ‘The Making of…’ symposium to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Academy of Architecture of Arnhem including Herman Zeinstra, Koen van Velsen, Felix Claus and Jacob van Rijs. NEXT architects represent the generation of the last decade. --> program
2009.12.19 NEXT at Palermo | the making of... dutch villas
The exhibition SICILIAOLANDA II featured the work of young Dutch and Sicilian architects under 40 including NEXT architects. The exhibition was innitiated by EXPA, Palermo. Combined with this Michel Schreinemachers gave a duo lecture together with Nanne de Ru of Powerhouse Company. The development and building proces of both Villa Overgooi and Villa 1 were presented in relation to eachother. This took place at the Kursaal Kalhesa, Foro Umberto I Palermo at Friday December 19ht.
On Monday December 21th Michel Schreinemachers gave a more detailled lecture with a reflection of the work of NEXT from the last 10 years.
Both lectures were by invitation of AutonomeForme.
2009.11.10 NEXT at Moscow Union of Architects
On Tuesday november 10th, NEXT architects attended the official visit of Dutch Minister Timmermans to the Lucky Dutch exhibition in Winzawod, Moscow. Marijn Schenk introduced the exhibition to the minister and, amongst others, the Dutch Ambassador Ron Keller and the director of the Netherlands Architecture Institute Ole Bouman. A lecture by Schenk at the Moscow Union of Architects was attended by a public of about 400 people.
