The bicycle has a profound impact on the development of towns and cities, provoking new design typologies and urban infrastructures such as novel bike-specific bridges and tunnels. ARCHITECTURE OF CONSEQUENCE

24 architecture designers take the lead including NEXT architects. Assessing what society needs now. Pursuing strategies the market is hesitant to explore. The designs that are presented are the fruits of an ambition to find sustainable designs for the future.

EQUAL = UNEQUAL
To counter the uniformity of an area’s development, NEXT architects deliberately put their stake on inequality in the form of wide diversity and positive discrimination. By magnifying the intrinsic qualities of each location a multi-faceted living environment is created that has something to offer people of all kinds. This principle can be applied at every scale level, from interior to landscape.
