A good city is a meeting place, where people and cultures come together. Preserving urban areas that represent the values of a well-planned and healthy city is a beautiful but complex task. We enjoy working on visions that create cohesion between buildings and their users, creating valuable buildings in a layered city in which the new builds upon the existing.
We believe in diversity and contrast because finding solutions to integrate oppositions stretches the city’s potential. Sure, the city is complex, but we like to think of it as a system that brings cycles and tempos together and overlaps them on different layers. This idea of the layered city allows space for contrasting development processes to arise together. We enable initiative for investors and developers as well as for communities of users and self-builders.
Cities are more than collections of buildings: it’s the spaces in between that defines their strength. A city is also never finished: vision, (re)construction and transformation flow into each other, starting a new cycle each time. We believe that a city’s DNA is often hidden in its main structure, in the empty spots where programs come together, and people meet. We find this essence but also enrich it, by adding the essential qualities needed to turn spaces into places.
